Current Projects
School Leaders and the Value of RME
Funded by the Hockerill Educational Foundation, I am currently exploring school leaders’ (head teachers and depute head teachers) views on RME in the curriculum of non-denominational schools, with the aim of developing professional learning resources to enhance provision.

Completed Projects
Religious Education, History of Education and Policy
My PhD in Education was completed at the University of Glasgow under the supervision of Professor Stephen McKinney and Professor Leonard Franchi. It was titled The Inspectorate, Inspection and Religious and Moral Education in Scottish Non-Denominational Secondary Schools, 1962-2020. This study highlighted the need to understand inspection and the wider work of the inspectorate when considering the development of RE in the curriculum.
